not breadfruit, breadfruit is green, "gấc" is red and soft. Breadfruit can be made into soup or fried, "gấc" is cooked with sticky rice or used to make food have vegetable red color

I love xa ke. My used to cook it in Tay Ninh by making them like French fries. It was much more delicious than French fries though, kinda sweet.
